The years under the late former governor Rotimi Akeredolu were remarkable, according to Governor Lucky of Ondo State. In an announcement released in the state capital of Akure, the mainstream political campaign group for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot Soldiers (LACO-FS) stated as much.As the former governor’s rite of passage comes to an end on Saturday with his burial in his Owo country home, LACO-FS made this announcement in a statement released by Mr. Kayode Fasua, its State Director of Information.
The article highlighted how governor Akeredolu left an inspiring legacy in Ondo State and how governor Aiyedatiwa had begun to build upon them.As much as we mourn the passing of our beloved former governor, Aketi, who had been welcomed home by his creator, we find solace in the knowledge that the Almighty allowed him to use his immense gifts in law, public service, and virtuous social interaction to advance humanity.
“During his nearly seven years as governor of Ondo State, Aketi drastically improved our communities, particularly in the area of road infrastructure. As a result, grateful drivers, particularly those living in rural areas, dubbed him ‘Mr. Road.’
“The group cheered, “Aketi also made sure that development programs were dispersed fairly among communities, spanning all 18 local government areas of Ondo State, leaving no one to complain of marginalization or neglect.” The LACO-FS further recalled that Akeredolu “stepped in the gap” when the Southwest region of Nigeria was being devastated by attacks, kidnappings, and other criminal activities by nomadic herdsmen during President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
“The armoured Amotekun Southwest Security Corps, which was created by our kind Governor Akeredolu to protect the communities, was quickly adopted by the other governors in the area.”We urge Aketi’s family, friends, and well-wishers to take solace in his formidable reputation in the legal field, politics, and even social life. He was a member of Kegite Club, an entertainment group comprised of eminent college students and recent graduates. We cannot quickly forget all of Aketi’s accomplishments.”
