Samaila Fafa, also known as Habu Ibrahim, was apprehended by Federal Capital Territory Police Command operations.
Nyesom Wike, the minister of the FCT, had placed a N20 million bounty on the second of the two kidnappers, Samaila Fafa.
According to a statement released by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer on Tuesday, Josephine Adeh, the kidnapper was apprehended at approximately 7:05 p.m. on February 24, 2024, after agents acting upon reliable information stormed Sardauna Forest in the Toto area of Nasarawa State.
On Wednesday, February 14, 2024, Wike awarded a N20 million bounty to two bandits who were allegedly terrorizing Abuja: Dahiru Adamu and Abu Ibrahim.
The statement was made by the former governor of Rivers State during a meeting with CP Benneth Igweh, the Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, at the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki, Abuja, during the procession of 23 criminal suspects.
One of the two wanted kidnappers, Saidu Abdulkadir, also known as Dahiru Adamu, was previously apprehended by the FCT police command’s anti-kidnapping unit after agents raided two kidnappers’ camps via Kuje Area Council on February 15, 2024, at around 12 a.m.”The FCT Police Command operatives, in a continued effort against banditry in the FCT and its environs, stormed Sardauna Forest, Toto, Nasarawa State, at about 7.05pm, acting on credible intelligence, and arrested one Samaila Wakili Fafa A.K.A. Habu Ibrahim, a kidnapping kingpin who has been on the Command’s wanted list for a long time and has had a bounty placed on his head by the Hon.
Minister FCT.The other kidnapper, Saidu Abdulkadir A.K.A. Dahiru Adamu, had already been taken into custody by the Command, so the suspect is one of the two on whom the Honorable Minister FCT had placed a bounty.
