A man going by the name Jonathan Onu is currently being held by the police on suspicion of stealing N300,000 worth of motorcycle tires from the Trade Fair Market in the Lagos State neighborhood of Amuwo-Odofin.
It was discovered that the incident happened on March 2 at approximately 7:35 p.m.Our correspondent was informed by a police source that the suspect had taken twenty motorcycle tires from the market.
“Onu, a security guard employed by the Trade Fair complex, carted away 20 motorcycle tyres worth N300,000 from a cargo company, according to a chief security officer in the complex,” the police source said.The trader, who requested to remain anonymous, stated that the suspect had a track record of pilfering from the market.
“He is fond of stealing, and this is not the first time he has done this. The trader stated, “He was not simply fortunate this time around, and it is unfair that someone would steal in this economy.
“Our correspondent was contacted by Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the state police, who verified the incident.After an investigation into the matter was completed, Hundeyin stated that the stolen items had been found and that the suspect would face charges in court.
“The items have been recovered at the station, and upon the conclusion of the investigation, the suspect will face charges in court,” he declared.
