In the Obazagbon neighborhood of the Orhiomwon Local Government Area, three pipeline vandals have been taken into custody by the Edo State Police Command.
Oluchukwu Chukwuma, age 18, Oke Okoro, age 30, and 45-year-old Jackson Aluche are among the suspects.
According to information gathered, the incident happened on April 14 at roughly 10:30 a.m.Chidi Nwabuzor, the public relations officer for the state police, verified the incident when contacted by our correspondent.
He continued by saying that the suspects were apprehended smashing a PAN Ocean Oil Corporation pipeline and stealing crude oil.Nwabuzor reported that the suspects had confessed to the crime and claimed that they would face legal action because they were hired by a person going by the name “Doctor.”
He declared, “On April 14, 2024, at approximately 10:30 a.m., the State Criminal Investigation Department agents, acting upon reliable information, apprehended three individuals: Jackson Aluche, 45; Oke Okoro, 30; and Oluchukwu Chukwuma, 18; all of whom were in the Obazagbon community in the Orhiomwon Local Government Area of Edo State.They were discovered siphoning crude oil and breaking a pipeline owned by Pan Ocean Oil Corporation. The suspects admitted to the crime and made statements, claiming that AKA Doctor had hired them to do the deed.
The suspects’ court charges are about to happen.Four alleged pipeline vandals were reportedly taken into custody by members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps’ Lagos State Command last month.
In Obawole, Fagba, Lagos State, the four were allegedly attempting to breach the pipeline owned by Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited.
